Cookie Policy

Information about cookies and similar technologies used by the Book a Balloon portal, and how to manage your preferences.

§01

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored by your web browser on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies used by the portal include session identifiers, local storage, pixels, tags, and advertising identifiers. They serve various purposes: from ensuring the portal functions correctly, to remembering user preferences, to analysing traffic and displaying targeted advertisements. The portal bookaballoon.com is operated by Maciej Szymczuk trading as Book a Balloon, NIP 9661876768, REGON 387074085, ul. Horodniany 36, 16-001 Kleosin. Contact for data protection matters: office@bookaballoon.com.

§02

Categories of cookies

Book a Balloon uses the following categories of cookies and similar technologies: • Necessary / session — required for the portal to function correctly (e.g. session management, security, form operation). Do not require consent. • Consent cookie — stores the cookie preferences expressed by the user. Does not require additional consent to the extent necessary for remembering the choice. • Attribution (bab_ref, referral_visits) — used for referral attribution and measurement of visits via referral links. Require consent. • Analytics and marketing — Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Vercel Analytics tools used to measure traffic, conversions, and remarketing. Require consent. • Payment — Stripe cookies necessary for processing transactions at checkout. Detailed information about each category is provided in the table below.

Cookie banner and consent

When you first visit the portal, a cookie banner is displayed allowing you to at least: • accept all cookies, • decline cookies other than necessary ones, • open detailed settings where you can choose individual categories. Analytics, marketing, advertising, remarketing, and attribution cookies are not activated before the user gives consent. Settings for declining and withdrawing consent are as easily accessible as acceptance — no option is pre-selected in favour of the administrator. In the detailed settings, the user receives information about cookie categories and providers, in particular about Google Analytics and Google Ads tools.

§04

Managing cookie preferences

You can change your cookie preferences at any time. A "Manage cookies" option is available in the footer of every page on the portal — clicking it reopens the preferences panel where you can change your previous choices or withdraw your consent. You can also manage cookies directly in your web browser — most browsers allow you to view, block, and delete cookies. Please note that blocking necessary cookies may prevent the portal from functioning correctly (e.g. login, cart management, or payments). Instructions for popular browsers: • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

§05

Withdrawing consent

Consent to analytics, marketing, and attribution cookies may be withdrawn at any time without giving a reason and without affecting the lawfulness of processing that took place prior to withdrawal. To withdraw consent, click the "Manage cookies" option available in the portal footer — the preferences panel will open, where you can deselect individual categories or decline all cookies other than necessary ones. Withdrawing consent means that analytics, advertising, and attribution cookies will not be stored on your device from the moment of withdrawal. Cookies already stored on your device can be deleted via your browser settings. If you have questions about the processing of personal data or cookies, please contact us at: office@bookaballoon.com.
