Your safety is our highest priority. Every balloon flight operated by Book a Balloon operators meets rigorous safety standards.

Certified pilots

Every pilot working with Book a Balloon holds a valid balloon pilot licence issued by the Civil Aviation Authority. We verify documents at registration and monitor their validity on an ongoing basis.

Equipment technical inspection

Balloons used in flights undergo regular technical inspections in accordance with aviation law requirements. Operators are required to maintain equipment in an airworthy condition.

Weather monitoring

We use a 3-stage weather monitoring system. Atmospheric conditions are checked when creating a flight, 24 hours before take-off and in real time on the day of the flight. If conditions are not safe, the flight is postponed.

Wind speed limits

Balloon flights only take place when wind is below safe limits. Our real-time system monitors wind speed and automatically warns the pilot when safety thresholds are exceeded.

Pre-flight briefing

Before every flight the pilot conducts a mandatory safety briefing for all passengers. You'll learn about basket behaviour rules, landing position and emergency procedures.

Insurance

All operators on the Book a Balloon platform hold the required liability insurance covering passengers. Policy details are verified during the operator registration process.
